Demure and velvety, sultry and sensuous, confidence and earthiness...these are words critics have used to describe Tiger Zane. Tiger’s music is both powerful and melodic— high energy and heart felt.

Tiger Zane is a Seattle based singer and songwriter who has been compared to Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell, and The Cowboy Junkies. Her songs are a soulful hybrid of folk rock and pop with occasional winks at country and jazz. Tiger’s music has been influenced by time living in France and her repertoire includes songs in French by writers such as Serge Gainsbourg and Edith Piaf. Look for her latest hybrid of songs written half in English and half in French.

Her CD, “no matter what”, is upbeat and sexy. It explores love, life and the quest for creativity and beauty. Tiger’s band includes dynamic drummer Michael Alex (Hart & The Hurricane), bassist and film composer Jeff Tolbert and recent addition James Howard on electric guitar. Their live act is captivating and fun; they perform originals sprinkled with a variety of covers.

Performance venues in Seattle include the well known Tractor Tavern, The Showbox, The Sunset Tavern, The Highdive as well as a wide range of festivals such as Folklife, The Bite of Seattle, The Edmonds Arts Festival, and the Shoreline Arts Festival. She has been hired by the Seattle Downtown Association and The Issaquah Downtown Association for outdoor summer concerts. Her music has been aired on Northwest radio stations such as KMTT—The Mountain, KEXP and KBCS.

Tiger has also appeared on television and radio ads for The Seattle Mariners and Emerald Downs Racetrack with her version of the 80’s hit single, ‘Break My Stride’!
